Rick is a Venture Partner with Woodside Fund and has over 30 years experience in developing technology and new businesses. Rick has been the CEO of two Woodside Fund portfolio companies. Most recently he was President and CEO of HotRail Inc., a private Internet infrastructure IC company that was sold to Conexant, Inc. HotRail was a Woodside Fund portfolio company.

Formerly, Rick was President and CEO of Exponential Technologies, a semiconductor startup, Vice President of Core Technology at Apple Computer, General Manager with Intel Corporation, and has held significant executive positions with Motorola, Inc., and Wang Laboratories, Inc. He has an engineering degree from Carnegie-Mellon and an MBA from College of St. Thomas.

Rick's pastimes are reading, biking, astronomy, and model trains.
